I find myself humming this tune everyday, I feel like the words match up rather well with my life.
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older,
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long,
And wouldn't it be nice to live together,
In the kind of world where we belong.
You know it's gonna make it that much better,
When we can say goodnight and stay together.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up,
In the morning when the day is new,
And after having spent the day together,
Hold each other close the whole night through.
The happy times together we've been spending,
I wish that every kiss was never ending,
Oh wouldn't it be nice.
Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true,
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do,
And then we'd be happy.
Wouldn't it be nice!!
You know it seems the more we talk about it,
It only makes it worse to live without it,
But lets talk about it,
Oh, WOULDN'T IT BE NICE.
So with those great lyrics, I really hope April gets here rather quickly, so the manfriend and me can retire the Long Distance in this wonderful relationship. <3 Until then, I'll be rocking out to the Beach Boys counting down the days when, it's weeks together and days apart.

What's in store for 2010...
I finally feel like I have fully recovered from the New York City Marathon, you don't realize how much a race of that length actually takes out of you. Now I am ready for a solid winter season of training, doing some races here and there, really focusing on getting in the best shape of my life come spring. I can't wait for the races that I am signed up for, here are a few that I'll be tackling come 2010.
The Manhattan Half Marathon: January 24th, this should be a cold one. Not looking to do anything crazy in this race, just gonna go out and have a good time with it. All these winter races are gonna make me stronger for the spring/summer.
Empire State Building Run Up: February 2nd, this is a race I've always wanted to do. It is by invite only and I will find out soon if I got it or not. So my fingers are crossed that I get in. If not no biggie, I'll just try again next year.
Forest Avenue Mile: This is a fun one right before the start of the Staten Island St. Patty's Day parade and it's a downhill mile. You really have a chance to run a fast mile, as long as the weather permits. The best part of this race is the after party along Forest Avenue.
Scott's Race: This is always my first road race of the Spring. Last year I ran really strong the first 2 miles then faded out. This year I am hoping to run a lot stronger and finish in the top 5.
Ragnar Relay: May 21st-22nd, this race is crazy. I am doing the New England series, where we start in Hartford, Conn. and Finish in BOSTON!!! Over 24 hours we will be covering 180 miles. My relay is in the Ultra category, because instead of a twelve member team, we are doing it with a six member team. So I will be completing three, ten mile legs over a day. I am super excited for this race and getting to visit Boston after.
Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon: June 26th, I signed up to run my third full marathon with Team Livestrong. I can't wait to travel to the West Coast to run this race. I'll be heading out there with the manfriend, my brother and his wife who is from the West Coast, which is great cause she can be our own personal tour guide! To run a marathon and be able to see Seattle is great. After the marathon we are heading to Portland, where we are gonna visit the Nike Campus and Hayward Field. I am counting down the days til June. To run for Livestrong again is such an honor.
These are only a couple that are on tap for me in the upcoming year. I really want to do two marathon in 2010. I am not sure if I am going to do New York again in November. I was thinking maybe Chicago or Dublin, not sure yet. I am pumped to get going and challenge myself, maybe pick up a pr or two along the way.
